Sunday Worship at PCAS
Worship is a welcoming gathering at which we share our joys and concerns, listen for God’s Word to speak to our hearts, sing and ring and let our souls be open to inspiration through a vibrant music ministry, and support one another in prayer and fellowship.
There is one worship service each Sunday, at 10:30 a.m. during the Fall through Spring (beginning September 10th this year), and at 9:30 a.m. in the Summer months (through Labor Day Weekend this year).
On certain Sundays of the month, we highlight special aspects of our Church Life:
- Holy Communion is shared on the first Sunday of every month, with Communion by Intinction on the First Sunday of each quarter (January, April, July, and October).
- On the Second Sunday, we receive a “Noisy Offering”, the placing of coins into a large jar to support the Presbyterian Hunger Program’s outreach to the hungry people of the world.
- Each third Sunday, a member or friend of the congregation shares a personal experience of their faith, witnessing to how God has guided, strengthened, or inspired them to greater service and participation in the Family of Faith.
Sermons are recorded and placed on the website, in case you are not able to attend.
On Tuesday mornings, at the local Panera Bread restaurant just a half mile south on Route 35, at 9 a.m., we have an hour-long, full of fun, study of the text for the upcoming Sunday. Everyone is invited to attend and plan to have a good time (plus coffee and pastries or breakfast!)
